Herz-, Thorax-, Gefäßchirurgische Anästhesiologie und Intensivmedizin

The discipline of pediatric anesthesia cares for patients from their first day of life until they reach the age of majority: from premature babies with a birth weight under 1 kg to adolescents with obesity-associated diseases. Over 5,000 anesthetics for children are administered annually over the entire spectrum of surgical disciplines.

The Pediatric Anesthesia working group conducts research in this wide range of clinical care areas along with numerous cooperation partners at the Pediatrics Center of University Hospital Graz.
